General Rules
This is a Christian Tournament. Submitting your name on an entry form signifies your willingness to abide by the National Goals Code of Conduct.
Do not play music or bring IPODS to the tournament.
Do not use tobacco or drugs in any form.
Do not bring alcohol.
Do not curse.
Do Not Fight or use bad sportsmanship.
Give respect to all staff, especially game officials.
Take care of church property. Do not litter.
There will be a gospel message. Give your attention to the speaker and respect the Word of God.
Please stay until after the Gospel Message is complete. Leaving early will eliminate you from awards and cause your team to forfeit.
Game Rules
National Goals follows the USFF rules except for the following changes:
All games are played on 40x30 outdoor fields, using 4x8 goals.
The length of games will be determined by the number of teams entering. Average game time will consist of two 7 minute halves with a 1 minute half time
Teams of 3 that lose a player must play with 2 players
Players may not change teams once the tournament begins.
Shin guards are required.
No goal kick (or a punt or throw from a keeper) may advance over the half line without bouncing or being touched in the half it originated from. A violation of this rule results in an indirect kick at the half line.
Substitutions may be made on a dead ball.
Opponents must be 5 yards away on any free kick.
Teams are not required to have a designated goalkeeper. No keeper is permitted to play the ball with his hands.
For putting the ball into play from out of bounds, it will be player's choice (kick or throw) Either choice will be treated as an indirect kick.
Use the box provided for goal kicks.
There is no offside penalty.
The only direct kicks will be penalty shots from the half line (no keeper) for the violations of a foul in the box and hands in the box
Any card received after a red card will result in expulsion from the tournament.
Seeds and winners in the Pool Play round will be determined by a point system.
Win-6 pts Tie-3 pts Loss- 0 pts
Shutout-1 pt Every goal up to 3-1pt
Overtime games will be played if needed in the elimination games. Overtime will be one 5 minute sudden death period and then an open net shootout from the half line until a winner is determined.
